While our long-term focus is on developing communities and increasing local capacity, we are also strongly committed to emergency relief. We maintain strong ties with a network of international humanitarian aid organizations to swiftly respond to disasters with solutions for both immediate needs on the ground and long-term support for public health programs in affected areas.
Coordinating donations of medical equipment and supplies for hospitals or primary care centers that attend the medical needs of those who would otherwise not able to afford care is a collaborative effort.
We partner with medical aid organizations Direct Relief International, Globus Relief, and Vida USA to improve the quality and increase capacity of medical services for disadvantaged populations.
FEDES also works to help people in local marginalized communities with basic essentials. These activities often go hand-in-hand with our other programs, such as providing assistance to low-income families of students at the vocational school to help them finish their studies, or coordinating with government or social organizations to provide supplies for specifically targeted programs.
