One of FEDES Foundation's goals is to provide wheelchairs and other orthopedic mobility equipment to the vast number of people in Chile as need them, but are unable to afford them.

Quality orthopedic equipment and wheelchairs can significantly improve dignity, mobility, and the quality of life in general for those who through disease, accidents or birth defect are severely incapacitated.

Thanks to partnerships with Free Wheelchair Mission, Globus Relief, Direct Relief, Vida USA and the cooperation of local communities and government officials, organizations and volunteers, FEDES has been able to give the gift of mobility to thousands in Chile. 

So far over 34,000 wheelchairs have been donated, as well as thousands of walkers, canes, and crutches.
